This was a construction advisory and development services project. Hu Honua Bioenergy’s power plant on the Big Island is a conversion from a 100-year old sugarcane fired power plant to a eucalyptus-woodchip fired power plant. We lead the construction team (at the direction of the primary investor group) after budgets and schedules far exceeded the original project estimate. We redirected the project and completed it successfully in 2019.
